The most genius tiny home project so far: Get a home if you earn below $15k.

The tiny home movement has been written and talked about extensively. But then there’s always still something new that blows our minds. A new project is underway in Portland, Oregon: The idea is to create tiny – and I mean TINY – homes that would sell for $15,000 or less. The homes are only 190 square-foot large but they would provide home ownership to many low income families.

Another use for these small living spaces would be to rent them out for less than $200/month. That reminds us of dorm room living to be honest, but hey, if it helps provide shelter for low income folks, then that’s a win-win situation.

What are your thoughts on the tiny house movement in general and on this specific project in Oregon?
